Hello Peace, Love & Soup listeners!
A Call for Entries:
As we prepare for our 10th episode, we have decided to feature stories written and read by you —our friends and authors of all ages and backgrounds— to air on October 19th, during our special Day of the Dead episode. As a bonus, your stories will also be broadcast over the KBOO radio airwaves on Halloween Day, when Tave guest hosts the program “Stage & Studio,” while regular host Dmae Roberts is on break.
The Details:
We invite you to submit a 400 word or less non-fiction story about someone who’s passed or the loss of a loved one, whether it be a celebration of life or depicting other complex emotions associated with death. It can be creative, and/or funny. It can even be an homage to someone you never met, but admired. Perhaps even a departed pet?
The deadline for submission is next Saturday, 9/9 @9PM
Please email us your written piece as a PDF file to: peaceloveandsoup@gmail.com
If your story is selected, we will contact you that following Wednesday, 9/13, to coordinate recording you reading your piece, either by phone or in person at the KBOO radio station sometime during the week of 9/18.
