At a press conference held by the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) on July 8, 2020, Deputy Chief Chris Davis explained the PPB's approach to ongoing protests related to police brutailty and racial justice. In a question and answer session, a KBOO reporter asked the following question: Can you please clarify your video statement (Deputy Chief Davis) which stated that members of the press do not have a right to document protests once a dispersal order has been issued?

The reporter incorrectly identified the origin of the statement as coming from Deupty Chief Davis. It actually originated with PPB's Public Information Officer Tina Jones.

The first clip below is the original statement from Jones.

The second clip includes the reporter's question and Deputy Chief Davis' response.
