Graham and Robert Parish celebrate the unofficial beginning of summer with a three-hour block of musical sunshine. In the 6:00 a.m. hour, the father-son duo play requests, as well as a group of established and up-and-coming female artists. As a festive bonus, Robert belatedly celebrates Graham’s Memorial Day weekend birthday.
Hour two is all about the Watsons. Graham features selections from Dale Watson, while Robert focuses his playback attention on guitar and vocal work from the legendary Doc Watson. Worth noting, Dale and Doc are not related.
In hour three, Graham plays “stuff he’s enjoying lately,” while Robert digs into his Amazing Rhythm Aces’ archive, with a long set of extraordinary tunes from this often-underappreciated band.
