Three hours of good country style music.

The theme of today's program is Entertainment, as usual on KBOO's Swing 'n' Country.  Not just today.  Check it out every Saturday morning from 6 to 9.

 

This show begins on a road to Kentucky and ends in Texas hill country, with stops in between at the Streets of Bakersfield and an Elite Hotel.  Covers a lot of ground musically. The earliest song is from 1968 (Charley Pride) and the latest is from 2021 (Shannon McNally).  1972 has the most songs.  Covers a lot of time musically, too.

 

The doubles featured are not movies or tennis, but two songs each from Emmylou Harris, Waylon Jennings, Melba Montgomery, Dwight Yoakam, Sheryl Crow, Loretta Lynn and The Earl Scruggs Revue. You careful listeners will hear the voices of Billy Bob Thornton, and Bobby Darin. (Surprised me, too.)
