On this episode of the Gap, Tammy and Althea speak with Ryley Copans, the Development and Communication Coordinator at Q Center, and Geeta Lewis, an artist, community activist, former Q Center board member and longtime supporter, about the Trans Day of Remembrance Community Healing Event at Q Center.
We learn about some of the history of the Trans Day of Remembrance and local activism against transphobic violence. We also learn about the Q Center, how it has adapted to the pandemic, and where they are headed next.
