According to this website, there are a few species of cricket which live in Oregon. Chances are it's too cold for them to be around in February, so we hope they were inside when Self Help Radio made a radio show about them.
In addition to lots of music about crickets - more than most cricket might have expected! - there are also interviews with The Cricket Man, who gave up his life to live with the crickets (yay!) & with Dr. Bernie Morten, who thinks crickets might be the food to solve world hunger (boo!).
As well, our favorite librarian stopped by to talk about crickets in poetry, & our resident cinephile talks about the dearth of crickets in movies.
This might be a show that crickets will enjoy, but we suspect humans might, too.
