Host Kathleen Stephenson speaks with Helena Norberg-Hodge about her new film "The Economics of Happiness," a documentary about the devastating effects of globalization and the need for localization. Norberg-Hodge will be in Portland this Friday for a special screening and discussion of the film. Helena Norberg-Hodge is an internationally renowned environmentalist and a pioneer of the localisation movement. She is a leading critic of conventional notions of growth and development. She is the recipient of the Right Livelihood Award, also known as the alternative Nobel Prize. She is founder and director of
the International Society for Ecology and Culture and author of "Ancient Futures: Learning from Ladakh."
