Lida Husik - multi-instrumentalist born in Washington, D.C., now resides in Portland. Lida released 11 brilliant albums since 1991, and is working on a new record with her band "The Incarnations". We'll play a few selected tracks from her albums Green Blue Fire (as 'Husikesque') and Fly Stereophonic.
BRATS - JPop rock band from Tokyo, formed in August 2011 by sisters Rei Kuromiya and Aya Kuromiya, who were just 10 and 12 years old at the time. Despite undergoing several lineup changes, these fierce siblings have remained the driving force behind the band, now rocking as a dynamic duo.
ROX - American all-female metal powerhouse, emerged as a 5-piece force in 1979, leaving an indelible mark in Japan. Members include: Toni Falconio (guitar/voice), Nina Markert (keyboard),Gere Fennelly (bass), and Christie Nehlick (drums) — each a virtuoso in their own right.
Goddess Obscura is a 3-hour long show that airs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month (late Sunday night) at midnight.
