Performance and image enhancing drugs, or PIEDS, include substances like anabolic-androgenic steroids, human growth hormone, trenbolone, insulin, and many others. The market in PIEDS is sizable and growing, and their use presents unique challenges. To learn more we hear from Doctor Tim Piatkowski, a researcher and lecturer at Griffith University, who appeared at a recent event entitled Redefining Harm Reduction and Rethinking Policy for Performance and Image Enhancing Drug Consumers that was hosted by Australia’s National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre.
