Our Featured Goddesses this week:
Pearl Earl - Psychedelic rock band from Denton, Texas. Founded by Ariel Hartley in the summer of 2014 and self-released the EP "Karaoke Superstar". We'll play some tracks from their latest album, "It's Dread." Members: Ariel Hartley, Bailey K Chapman, Stefanie Lazcano and Chelsey Danielle.
Junodef - London-based band formed in Sweden in 2015. They've crafted a sound they proudly call "Doomsday Pop." The band formed when Karin and Tyra Örnberg's previous band split. Just a few months later, they joined forces with Norea Persson on drums and Rode Grönkvist on synths to create their signature sound.
Goldie & The Gingerbreads - Pop/rock band active from 1962 to 1967. These trailblazing legends were among the first all-woman bands to smash through the barriers in a very male-dominated industry. They toured with Chubby Checker through Berlin in 1962, and later shared stages with the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, the Yardbirds, the Hollies, and many more. Members include Ginger Bianco, Margo Lewis, Carol MacDonald, and Genya "Goldie" Zelkowitz (aka Genya Ravan).
Goddess Obscura is a 3-hour long show that airs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month (late Sunday night) at midnight.
