This week's Featured Goddesses include:
Hour # 1: SAY SHE SHE - Amazing soul-pop-disco trio from Brooklyn & London. Piya Malik, Sabrina Mileo Cunningham and Nya Gazelle Brown.
Hour # 2: The Vinyl Records - Post-punk combo based out of New Delhi and Arunachal Pradesh with a sound that draws inspiration from Bikini Kill, The Clash, and the Ramones. Featuring lead vocalist and keyboardist Cheyyrian Bark, drummer Mithy Tatak, Minam Tekseng on bass, and lead guitarist & singer Band Jini.
Hour # 3: The Rock Flowers - A short lived girl group from the early 1970's with tunes flavored with rock, soul, pop, folk, and bubblegum. This group released two LPs and were immortalized as 7" dolls by Mattel (a.k.a. "Hippie Barbies"). I'll be featuring a tune that was only available on a plastic yellow record that came with one of the dolls ("Sweet Times"), a record I was lucky enough to find online in somewhat decent quality.
Goddess Obscura is a 3-hour long show that airs on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month (late Sunday night) at midnight.
