The annual Portland Book Festival is our city’s biggest literary event, and one of the most popular on the entire West Coast. This year’s festival takes place Saturday, November 2nd, just a few days away, and features on-stage discussions with over 80 authors, pop-up readings, children’s storytimes, a book fair, writing workshops, and, because it’s Portland, a variety of local food trucks.
This year’s author lineup includes Richard Powers, Ani DiFranco, Rachel Kushner, Danzy Senna, R.O. Kwon, Chelsea Bieker, Willie Vlautin, Kimberly King Parsons, Renee Watson, Tessa Hull, Julia Phillips, and Carson Ellis – to name just a few.
To give us a preview, we’re fortunate to have Amanda Bullock, Senior Artistic Director at Literary Arts, live in the KBOO studios with us.
