Ban The Box Moves Forward in Oregon
Shout-out to the Urban League of Portland for their assisting efforts to push the 'Ban The Box' legislation to move forward to be voted by the Senate.
I was at the 2015 Legislative Action Day with Our Voices United on April 30 with a string of other organizations like Urban League in solidarity for 'Ban The Box' and several other different house bills in Salem. On the way back to Portland, I asked the question 'what does 'ban the box mean to you' to a 'few of the 2015 spring class of Constructing Hope (a non-profit that supports encouragement and support through skills training and education in the construction industry) their thoughts about the passing of 'Ban The Box'.
