Africa-O-Ye! on 02/09/12

This week Africa-O-Ye! will explore music from 1970s and '80s Kenya and Tanzania, much of it from collections compiled by Doug Paterson, host of "Music of Africa" on KBCS in Bellevue, WA.  Much of what we will hear comes from from a series issued on the Stern's label, featuring Issa Juma & Super Wanyika Stars, Western Jazz Band, D.O. Misiani & Sharati Jazz, and Vijan Jazz Band. And we will also hear from Abana Ba Nasery, the Maroon Commandos, Kalamya Sisters, Juwata Jazz, and the Mlimani Park Orchestra.  /// host: Andy Hosch.
