Hosted by Denise Morris, today's show begins with two pieces about the Wages for Housework Campaign: Laurie Mercier interviews Selma James, the founder of the campaign and International Coordinator of Women's Global Strike; and Andaiye of Red Thread. They will be speaking at PSU, in the Native American Center, on Saturday from 1-3 pm about Tanzania's Arusha Declaration and African Socialism. Then Frann Michel and Denise review the documentary film "Talking of Power" produced by the Bolivian Circle of Women's Global Strike, available from globalwomensstrike.net.
In the second half of the show, Bill Resnick talks with Ali Shakiri from the Center for Citizen Peace Building about what's going on in Iran and how Iran would be affected by a US attack. Then Bill is joined by Dave Finkle, editor of Against the Current, to assess the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Conference being hosted by President Bush.
