Serving as a beacon to those seeking connection or access to community, the arts, or education to facilitate their process as a human Creator.
Lighthouse Lessons is the media-production arm of Lighthouse Art Collective, a community which exists to empower artists and neighbors to to engage with each other and the greater civic arena to facilitate growth, equality, abundance, and fortitude through access to the arts. We do this through offering unique programming designed to uplift, inspire, and empower people of color, youth, sexual minorities, and women, and inspire them to join us in creating an alternative culture through community action and free expression.
Tonight host Leidi Monte will be speaking with music artists regarding their upcoming projects, including Ilima Considine of The Sexbots about the release of their very first vinyl record, The Berlin Stories/The Book of Daniel. Local members of our community Bonnie Bright and Oba Odu will talk about their transitions to the West coast, their vision of community and what civic engagement looks like for them, as well as family and spirituality. Lastly we will playing a round table discussion where members of Lighthouse Productions discuss feminism, or as this conversation will explain, Theminism.
