Portland artist Sean Chamberlain will join us to talk about his new exhibit "the porn won't load," an 'examination of the social construction of pornography and its cultural output.' Sean is a queer artist & curator and co-director of project205, a free educational archive for queer media and literature.
Next, we'll visit with Kim, facilitator of the Portland social group Gender Queery. 'Gender Queery is a group for respectful discussion for everyone in, and allied with, the Queer/GLBTQ community. Meetings have discussions on an ever-changing topic, followed by informal social time, and always take place on the 1st Monday of the month.'
KBOO alumna Sasha Buchert, formerly with the Transgender Law Center in Oakland and now a staff attorney with Lambda Legal, will stop by (via phone) to talk about current trans law cases in the US.
