Members of Oregon Voices discuss their efforts to advocate for evidence-based approach to sexual offenses
In the U.S. there are 750,000 people on sexual offender registries, including nearly 30,000 in Oregon. Who gets labeled as a sex offender? What are the rules and restrictions they live under? To what extent do the laws promote public safety? What allows for successful re-entry back into society? Oregon Voices ( http://www.oregonvoices.org/ ) is an advocacy group that has the stated goal of achieving "justice and rationality in policies regarding sex offenses.” Tune in to hear what members have to say about why they have joined and what they are trying to accomplish. Geusts will include Oregon Voices board members Ken Nolley and Bob Brown.
