Please join us for Transpositive on Tuesday, August 18th at 6pm on KBOO for an interview with Franki Beilharz.  Franki is a sculptor and performance artist who identifies as nonbinary. A graduate of Lewis and Clark College, Beilharz says in their artist statement, " My practice is not confined to one specific type of medium, rather it relies on a multitude of mediums that engage the viewers senses. The making of each work is a cathartic exploration of the boundaries of the self and the inherent subjectivity of one's own reality. Through these acts of making, I am able to address tensions which repeatedly resurfaces in my life surrounding gender, multiplicity of self, and environmental trauma. Art is the medium through which I am able to externalize internal experiences and states of mind; providing the viewer with a point of access into another person’s reality and by doing so, asking them to reflect on their own representation of reality."
