Nuclear Provision in Climate Bill

To achieve that goal, some legislators in the US Congress have proposed a ‘Clean Energy Bank’ that would provide low-interest loans for new alternative energy projects.

But anti-nuclear groups have discovered a little-publicized provision in the bill that would allow unlimited loans for nuclear power plant construction.

 That was Michael Marriott of the Nuclear Information and Resource Service, speaking on the ‘Clean Energy bank’ legislation that is expected to be introduced to the U.S. senate tomorrow.
