The current percentage of minority police officers in Portland is quite low
Portland city Commissioner Dan Saltzman met with several African American recruits for the Portland Police Bureau today.
Last week Saltzman said that several potential officers turned-down jobs with the Portland Police Bureau in response to the January twenty-ninth shooting of Aaron Campbell.
The current percentage of minority police officers in Portland is quite low, and Saltzman wants to increase the numbers.
Officer Ronald Frashour, the officer that shot Aaron Campbell, remains on what equates to desk duty.
At a protest outside city hall today, veteran Joe Walsh declared that he will hold vigil every week until justice is served:
