Don’t miss the most important anti LNG event this year, this Thursday May 27th at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE MLK blvd at 1pm.
The Palomar Pipeline, designed to transport imported liquefied natural gas, is a major threat to communities and the environment of Oregon. As it is proposed, the Palomar would stretch two hundred and twenty miles from Bradwood, Oregon at the mouth of the Columbia. From there it would cut through eight counties and clear cut through Mt. Hood National Forest to connect to the existing trans-Canada pipeline in Eastern Oregon. Once there, all of the gas would be pumped down to California. A KBOO reporter spoke earlier today with Olivia Schmitt and Monica Vaughan, two long-time organizers of the anti LNG movement.
