Interviews with Rosata Hezumuryano, Eca-Etabo Wasongolo, and Mason Durfee

It is a very special Spring Membership Drive episode of the Food Show. I'm extremely excited to share an interview with Rosata Hezumuryano from Happiness Family Farm and Eca-Etabo Wasongolo from Village Gardens. Rosata is originally from Burundi, where she spent nine years in a refugee camp before immigrating to the United States. Since she has lived in Portland, she's started and grown Happiness Family Farm with assistance from Village Gardens and Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO). Wasongolo is the community organizer at Village Gardens and helps translate for Rosata as well as talks about the mission and impact of VG.

I'll also be talking with Mason Durfee who will be managing both the St. Johns and New Columbia Farmers Markets this coming season.

As usual, Marisha Auerbach from Permaculture Rising Will be on to talk about the garden. What to do with hot season plants? Find out on the Food Show!
